He wants to talk to you about so many things — how much He loves you, His plan for your life, the heavenly assignments He has ahead for you, and much more!
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
(John 17:3)
Right here, John tells the children of God what we’ll be doing for eternity, and that’s getting to know the only true God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus sent to help us in every way (John 14:15-18).
I don’t know about you, but I imagine that heaven will be a continual, wonderous unfolding of the nature of God. We’ll marvel as we get one glimpse of His glory, then He’ll turn slightly, and we’ll see a whole new facet of His nature. And, we’ll be engaged in this intimate unveiling forever and ever.
You’ve probably guessed why I titled the blog that they may know You. I want to know Him better. I suspect you’re here because you want the same. Won’t you join me in this incredible, eternal adventure?
